About Silvio La Frossia

Silvio’s love affair with Horror started in an apartment in the Bronx with Universal Monster movies on a tiny 13” Black & White TV set and a seminal moment when he saw the theatrical release of “The Exorcist” at the age of 10. He secretly wishes to be the final hero of an 80’s slasher film but that character does not exist in any film so he is content to be the final kill victim before the “Final Girl” survives the villain. When not daydreaming about cabins in the woods, zombie filled mine shafts, demonic possession, apocalyptic pandemics or brain sucking extraterrestrials, Silvio can be found harmlessly reading or viewing anything horrific, actiony or science fictiony. An IT genius by trade, he is also a Dad to 3 and Husband to 1. He is a soccer coach, a fan of History, an avid comic book reader and cooking enthusiast. His rantings can also be heard and read on About Men Radio, a podcast of HeadStepper Media. social media links – Twitter @Coach_Silvio, Facebook @XeneizeUSA, Instagram (but he doesn’t know how to use it) @xeneizeusa

Why Should Halloween Have All The Fun?

October. What a wonderful month. The first full month of autumn, and my favorite holiday anchoring the end of it: Halloween! What a horrorful day and night that is. As much as I love Halloween, over time I couldn’t help…

A Look at the DC Animated Universe

From very early on I strictly followed my comic book mantra: “Make Mine Marvel!” I would occasionally venture into the DC comic book universe but it was Marvel that truly held me captive. Growing up in the 70s and 80s, the animated…
