This week on The Mass Invasion Podcast, Pedro and Janifer discuss one of Pedro’s mistresses…  SHOES! (specifically sneakers)

With the Brooklyn Museum’s “The Rise of Sneaker Culture” exhibit going on (from now until October 4th, 2015), to the recent live stream fashion show of BET’s “How to Rock: Kicks”, to the documentary of Sneakerheadz, this is definitely the year of the Sneaker.

Whether they are Chuck Taylors, Nike, Adidas, Pumas, Jordans, or Airforce One’s, they are no longer “just a shoe” and for some have become an obsession.

We discuss the history of sneaker culture, how it has evolved, how they’ve been tied to music fashion and urban culture, and the influences it has made it from the basketball courts to the red carpet.

In other words, Pedro gushes while Janifer looks on, slightly uncomfortably.
